The Big Student Meeting

SUBU's Big Student Meeting and Annual General Meeting is your opportunity to discuss, debate and vote on the issues that really matter at SUBU and BU. It's your chance to have a real impact on your experience at university and play in active role in leading change.

 

The Big Student Meeting takes place on Tuesday 16th May, in the Inspire Lecture Theatre, Fusion Building at Talbot Campus. Here you can find all of the relevant links to reports that are being presented at this years Big Student Meeting & Annual General Meeting.

The issues being discussed are:

1) Should SUBU lobby the University to lower the rent in all BU Halls of residence?

2) SUBU must lobby the government and continue to fight for our international student rights for obtaining a tier 2 work visa after graduation

 

The Big Student Meeting and Annual General Meeting is your chance to see and offer your feedback on how SUBU has been run over the last year, there will be updates from the Full Time Elected officers and the Executive committee and details about SUBU's finances and expenditure.

The agenda is set by an all-student Executive Committee. Past outcomes include lobbying to reduce student accommodation costs and campaign to get more student parking permits.
