Here in the Students' Union we don't have many policies. This is because we try to be flexible in how we approach things and many of the decisions are made weekly by the Executive committee as and when they need to be addressed. 

However, we do have three really important policies that you may have come across.

Environmental Policy

The Students' Union (and by extension the University) will not promote anything that competes directly with their organisations (i.e. will not promote any bar, pub or club as they are competing against Dylan's, The Loft and the Old Fire Station). The only time when there is an exception to this rule is when the event that is being promoted is significantly different to any event provided by the Students' Union. 

If you are unsure as to whether your event will be promoted by the SUBU, please contact supresident@bournemouth.ac.uk and they can give you an answer. It may have to be discussed with the Executive Committee, so please allow time for this.
