SUBU's (Students' Union @ Bournemouth University) fundamental role is to be here for you, the Students! Everything the Union does revolves around your needs if that may be social, entertainment, advice or representation!
SUBU employs over 250 members of staff who run the day-to-day operations of the Union such as the SUBU Advice and Information Service and The Old Firestation. However, they are guided by the executive committee who are ultimately responsible for everything the Union does.
The committee (The Exec) is made up of 14 part-time and 3 full-time officers which oversee everything the union does, from sitting on the University's board of governors to deciding what the bar prices should be and is chaired by the Union president.
The part-time officers are students still studying and the full-time officers are on a sabbatical year. All committee members are voted in to their position by the student boby aka YOU!
