The Suzi Lamplugh Trust provides loads of useful information and advice on personal safety, including how to stay safe on a night out; keeping safe while keeping fit; safety advice for men and personal safety when cycling.

When travelling to and from uni or work, meeting up with friends or out for the night, it’s just as important to think about keeping safe.
There’s loads of information about how to travel safely on the Suzy Lamplugh and Dorset Police websites – but don’t forget it’s really important to be prepared about how you will get home at the end of the night. Find more information on using local buses see

Don’t forget, you should NEVER get into an unlicensed minicab or taxi – keep the numbers of a few taxi firms on your mobile – or better still, learn them! Make sure you are paying a fair price by looking at the Bournemouth Council taxi price guide.
