► TheHub Goes Global
Hi everyone,
I am very pleased to inform you all that thehub Goes Global is back with a brand new opportunity to volunteer abroad with the Students' Union, following the success of our trip to Nigeria in 2008!
This project involves a trip to Bulgaria to carry out voluntary work in an orphanage, helping you to develop your skills in team work, communication as well as confidence building and having fun.
The project will run from Monday 7th June and will be returning to the UK on Wednesday 16th June. Each volunteer will need to fund raise the money to get there which is £1015. This includes everything from flights, accomodation, meals, transport etc. We will be fundraising as a group to make this easier.
This project will involve teaching English to a group of 3-7year olds in the city of Rousse in Bulgaria. Activities include teaching basic English such as alphabet and number games as well as basic renovation work will be carried out such as painting and decorating. Training will be provided before the project and a debrief will be given afterwards. You will be expected to attend all of these training sessions.
