Eating Disorders

Food is an everyday part of our lives and it is common to change your eating patterns and habits. However, if you feel your relationship with food is having a negative impact on your life then we suggest you seek some advice. SUBU Advice can point you in the right direction for specialist advice and support and, where necessary, advise you on relevant SUBU and BU Policies and Procedures, e.g. mitigating circumstances.

If you, or you know someone that maybe suffering from an eating disorder then there are many services which can help. A list can be found here.

BU has a Counselling Service and staff in Chaplaincy are also qualified to provide students with emotional support.

Don’t forget, you can also speak to your GP, friends, family and the Samaritans.

You’re not alone!
