Getting Involved

SUBU offers loads of opportunites to get involved from clubs & societies to the volunteering. Sam, your Partnership Co-ordinator will be your contact whilst studying at your college.

Take a look below at the oppotunities avaliable to you...

SUBU hosts over 50 clubs and societies from Juggling to Beard Appreciation society, the Boat Club to the Climbing club; although these clubs are based on Talbot Campus you are able to get involved if you wish. In addition Sam your PI Coordinator can help you set up a society of your own based at your college, all you need is 5 HE Bournemouth students at your campus to set up the committee and you’ll be on your way.

RAG stands for Raising and Giving, we have a strong committee who go out on the streets and do all sorts of fun activities to help raise funds for local charities and good causes.

The volunteering department at the Students’ Union provides a great opportunity to get involved either through Make A Difference (MAD) Days, Recyclnig Ronnie or you can take up the opportunity to set up own projects. Simply visit the website to find out more www.the-hub.org.uk

Nerve* Media is the Students’ Union media arm that encourages students to get involved in media development through print, TV and radio. Whether you are an experienced media mastermind, or a total novice, you can get involved in any area of Nerve* and it is a chance to be creative and build skills through the training provided.

Although the Nerve* studios are based on Talbot Campus, we want you at your college to get involved. If you have a flare for writing, perhaps you create TV on your course or are aiming to be the next Chris Moyles, get in touch!
