Marshals & helpers for New Forest Marathon

Details Hide[-]

The New Forest Marathon is an event which consists of 7 races within the New Forest. Last year, around 8000 people were on the site, and we need as many volunteers as we can get to help the day run smoothly and to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the runners and spectators. The event also has a race village filled with traders and charity pitches, kids activities and live bands. We need volunteers to be marshals, to help with registration and possibly with car parking too. The grounds open at 6am and volunteers would need to be there at 6am (for registration) or 7am (marshals). We are looking for volunteers who can make it to the site for this time by their own means of travel. There is a campsite at the event so volunteers may wish to stay overnight/from Friday evening (please check website for details). This is a great opportunity for students to gain working experience, including developing event management skills, and to experience the incredible atmosphere on the day.

The event is on the 10th September 2017 at the New Park Showground, Brockenhurst, Hampshire, SO42 7QH.
