Our top tips to help you save some pennies this Christmas but still have the most wonderful time of the year!

1. Set a budget for yourself or for your friends/ family so you don't go overboard on your spending

2. Plan a secret santa- that way you only have to buy one present

3. Send e-cards online rather than physcial cards - they are also envronmnetally friendly :)

4. If you prefer to send physical cards, try to hand deliver as many as you can to save on postage costs

5.  Make your own presents (homemade fudge / jam / chutney / biscuits/ a painting/ knitted scarf)

6.  Use old Christmas cards from last year to make gift tags this year

7. Use your Christmas dinner leftovers wisely- (vegetable soup/ turkey curry). Watch SUBU's video on how to grow veg from veg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjsRJUvUshA&t=1s

8. Entertain your friend and family at home rather than going out to restaurants. This one may be a little easier this year!

9. When entertaining at home, ask your guests to bring a snack or a drink

10. Give people promises as gifts such as a token for a free night of babysitting, or a  week of dog walking for example.
