Wednesday 23 June 2:30pm – 4:00pm Message it in stitch – Shelley Park

Come along to a pop-up outdoor café in Shelley Park, where you can create your own message using fabric and stitch.

A chance to take part in Craftivism and to make your views known in a gentle, mindful and positive way through the use of stitch.

You could send your message to your MP, councillor, a corporation or individual.

Alternatively, you can leave it in a public place or hand it to someone in person.

Your message could be to protest, request or make a point on any issue close to your heart.

We will be using recycled fabrics and stitching with needle and thread. No experience is necessary.

This will be a quiet space and a slow activity to allow for discussion and reflection.

Some fabrics will be made available but if you have a piece of cloth you would like to use, please bring it with you.

Old clothes, scarves, tablecloths etc or items found in charity shops are ideal. Run by craftivist Gill Coleman.

Meet on the lawn in Shelley Park, Chessel Avenue, Boscombe BH5 1FG (Zoom if weather is inclement)

To find out more and book your place, please email peter@parksfoundation.org.uk

This event is organised by Bournemouth Parks Foundation and advertised by SUBU
