Join the Big Hog Friendly Litterpick Challenge

This event runs from 19th September until 30th November, in association with the British Hedgehog Preservation Society.

Join in this national campaign by the British Hedgehog Preservation Society.

Hedgehogs are covered in thousands of spines, making them vulnerable to becoming trapped in litter. Unfortunately, many hedgehogs die every year because of this. Taking part in the competition will clean up your community and save lots of animals. 

To get involved simply...

1) Collect a litter picker and bin bag from SUBU Student Opportunities on the first floor in the Student Centre

2) Pick up litter in your local community

3) Send a picture of yourself and your full rubish sacks to SUBUVolunteering@bournemouth.ac.uk

4) Receive your digital certificate for taking part!

The university who pick up the most litter between 19th September and 30th November 2022 will help win a prize of a free hedgehog house or hedgehog food for campus.
