Bournemouth University Street Fair 2026

Hosted by SUBU in partnership with Bournemout Town Centre BID, RESlifeBU, SportBU, The Old Fire Station

When: Sunday 20th Sept 2026, 2 pm - 6 pm Where: Starting at the Old Fire Station Square and then down Holdenhurst Road to the Lansdowne Roundabout. Welcome to Bournemouth - We will close the road for our Street Fair again this year, the perfect way to kick off your first weekend. In partnership with the Bournemouth Town Centre Business Improvement District, SportBU, ResLife and SUBU we are bringing Student Streets, live acoustic music, art, clothing stalls, participation street sport, food & drink. A great opportunity to meet new students who have just moved in and it's a one minute walk from nearly every hall in Lansdowne.

This year's SUBU Freshers' Fair is on Saturday 26th September 2026, and will bring the arrivals week to a climax for 4,000 new students and 12,000 returning students.

This is your chance to meet all of your clubs and societies, Sports BU Teams, local and national brands, and recruitment companies whilst enjoying lots of freebies, demonstrations, and much more.

10 am -11 am is reserved for those with accessibility needs, with fewer people and music played at a low level (full accessibility information is at the bottom of this page)

11 am-3 pm for all other students.

FREE buses from Lansdowne & Poole (U1, More Bus 15 and More Bus 17)

The event will be taking place on all floors of the Student Centre, the ground floor of the Fusion Building, the outside courtyard space of campus, and the first floor of Kimmeridge House, you can find out more about the accessibility of these buildings via the BU Accessibility section of the BU Webpage and via AccessAble.
