C/a/s/m : Climb Alongside Suicide and Mental Health

Bournemouth University Climbing Club are very excited to be supporting C/a/s/m (Climb Alongside Suicide and Mental Health). C/a/s/m is a climbing non-profit awareness movement dedicated to promoting the positive effects of rock climbing in helping with the struggles of depression, self-injury or thoughts of suicide.

With the help of the Student Wellbeing Service on Talbot Campus, BU students can be referred for a free induction for two people at The Project Climbing Centre in Poole. This can be arranged by emailing to book your induction, then take the referral form provided by the Student Wellbeing Service to the session and have fun! This includes climbing shoes and chalk, everything you need to get started.

If you are referred climbing via the Student Wellbeing Service and want to continue climbing, you can with Bournemouth University Climbing Club. We are offering C/a/s/m referrals a free Indoor membership which allows half price entry to all club sessions, trips to other indoor centres, kit hire and socials. More information about the club can be found on our SUBU page, Facebook and Instagram.
