What do we do?
The DJ, MC & Producer society is a great place to learn the art of tune selection.
Ran by some of BU/ABU’s best performers on the 1s & 2s we aim to provide a place for people of all abilities and genres to hone their skills in production and as a performer.
Now in its second year the BU DJ, MC & Producer Society was set up by a group of DJ’s looking to set up a place for other like-minded people can come and network.
We run regular meetups where our members can socialise and network with other DJs, MC’s and producers.
We run and promote our club night throughout the year, giving our inexperienced members a chance to get out of the bedroom and into the club.
Last year our members DJed at various events. We linked up with SKC for and provided the music for their UV silent disco nights; we also teamed up with other local club events which gave our members a chance to DJ on the same stage as some of the biggest names in dance music. Some of our other members have gone on to create and promote their events. We also help link up other societies who are looking for DJ’s with our members for their events.
We have our Facebook group chat in which our members can share their productions, talk about dance music and share DJ mixes.
