Coming towards the end of their return to touring, Manchester band Pale Waves visited the infamous Old Fire Station in Bournemouth last month.

Although I’m sure we are all very familiar with this venue on a weekend, Pale Waves brought an atmosphere and energy that you could not have missed.

A special mention goes to the opening act Emmma who really set the tone with her stunning vocals and
captivating stage presence. She definitely had some new fans after that performance, that I am
sure of.

When embarking on their tour, Pale Waves sought out small and intimate venues across the
country to connect with their loyal and beloved audience. That they did! From the front to all the
way to the back row, everyone was screaming or jumping along to every track. The energy was
nothing short of magnetic.

I was lucky enough to photograph the band, and boy do they know how to put on a show. Being
able to see Heather Baron-Gracie and the group, as well as the audience, really allowed me to capture the
magical essence that filled the space between us all.

To top everything off, Heather’s cover of Zombie by The Cranberries was, dare I say, the best
cover I have ever heard - and I heard it live! Honestly, stop what you’re doing and go find a
recording of the cover, you won’t regret it. This track had the audience silent for the first time all
night. We were all completely mesmerised. That was until the second chorus when everyone
jumped in with her and sang along.

All in all, I have been an avid listener of Pale Waves for a while now and they were even more
gracious and phenomenal live. Definitely try to catch them on the tail end of the tour if you can!
