Each year, Students’ Unions across the country run elections for current students to run for and elect their full-time representatives for the following academic year.

At SUBU, elected Officers work closely with fellow students, the Union and BU staff to deliver projects, campaigns and create policies to improve the student experience at BU and nationally across the Higher Education sector.  They act as your voice to make the changes at BU that matter to you.

Kayleigh Rowan, Democracy & Campaigns Manager at SUBU, said “This year’s SUBU Officer Elections has been incredible. We’ve seen the highest number of voters in the past ten years – it's fantastic to see so many students showing up and voting for who they believe will best represent their views across Bournemouth University.

“Every role plays an important part in creating change and improving the student experience here at BU. A huge congratulations to all the candidates who took part, and we’re really looking forward to working with those who will be stepping into their rolesin the summer.”
