We’re pleased to reveal the shortlist for this year’s SUBU Awards.

Organised by the Students’ Union at Bournemouth University (SUBU), these student-focussed awards celebrate and recognise those who have made the greatest impact within the Students’ Union and gone above and beyond to improve the student experience at Bournemouth University (BU).

This year’s awards attracted nominations from university staff, students, and external partners. With fifteen awards to be won, the shortlisted finalists have all been recognised for the valuable contributions they have made to the Students’ Union and for the positive impact they have had on university life.

Jeffery Ononiwu, Vice-President Student Opportunities at SUBU, said: “It’s been fantastic to see so many students engaging with SUBU this year. We’re incredibly proud of everyone who has helped create positive change across SUBU and BU, especially those who have been nominated for a SUBU Award.

With such a high number of nominations, creating the shortlist was incredibly difficult- every nominee deserves recognition for the outstanding work and dedication they have shown to SUBU.

Congratulations to everyone who has been shortlisted, and we wish you the very best of luck. We’re excited to celebrate with you all at next month’s SUBU Awards ceremony!”

The winners will be announced at the SUBU Awards ceremony on Thursday 14th May 2026 at the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel.

Tickets are now available for shortlisted nominees, with general sale opening on Friday 24th April. To reserve your place, visit subu.org.uk/awards.
