Outstanding students from Bournemouth University (BU) have been recognised for their incredible commitment to the Students’ Union at Bournemouth University (SUBU) during an awards evening held at Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel.

The SUBU Awards ceremony celebrated students who have made the biggest impact within the Students’ Union and have gone that extra mile to achieve something exceptional alongside their studies.

Fifteen awards were presented on the night, honouring a variety of achievements, including students who have devoted their time to volunteer and help give back to the local community, and those who have conducted exceptional work to ensure that students within minority groups feel empowered.

SUBU’s President, Esther Isaiah, said: “At SUBU, we recognise that the university experience is a lot more than just going to lectures and getting good grades on assignments; it’s also about having new experiences, developing skills and making unforgettable memories.

“As a student-led organisation, our students are a key part of our work, and their contributions are essential to making sure that all students have the best possible experience during their time at Bournemouth University.

“The SUBU Awards are an incredible way of recognizing all the hard work students have done to help their Students’ Union become dynamic and thriving community. A huge congratulations to all our finalists and winners!”
