How will I receive my ticket? You will receive an order confirmation with a link to download your ticket. Your order confirmation will be sent to the email address your SUBU website profile is registered with - this is usually your academic email address (e.g. @bournemouth.ac.uk). You can access your tickets at any time on the 'My Account' section of the SUBU website when you are logged in.

What ticket do I need to bring to the ball? Print out your ticket (not the order confirmation) and we will scan it on arrival at the event. You must have the ticket with the bar code clearly visible and undamaged. We scan all tickets to ensure there is no duplication. Keep your ticket safe and do not allow it to be copied - each code can only be used once and only first one presented at the event will be allowed access.

Do I need I.D.? You must be at least 18 years old to attend the Summer Ball. We will expect you to be able to prove your age with a PASS approved ID card, driving licence or passport (your Student Card will not suffice). If you cannot prove your age we will deny  you access to the event.

Will you be searching on the gate? Yes. Dorset Police and our security team will be overseeing searches to ensure illegal drugs and alcohol do not get into the event. If you are found in possession of illegal drugs you will be arrested by the on site Police team.

What fancy dress can I wear? Keep if fun and please be respectful and thoughtful of others when you choose a fancy dress outfit. We would advise you not to change your skin colour, dress as a terrorist, an offensive object or degrade other people. If you do we may insist that you remove your fancy dress - and nobody would want that.

Can I bring a spear, sword, realistic gun or similar? No, we will take it off you and cannot guarantee to return it to you.

Will it get cold? Probably, bring something warm and leave it in the cloakroom.
