Student Reps

"Whilst at University, it’s essential to provide feedback so that your Students’ Union and BU can ensure you are provided with the best experience. From your lectures to facilities on campus, it all matters to Student Reps!"

What is a Student Rep?

A Student Rep is a student who has been elected by their course mates to represent student views and opinions to BU and SUBU. Student Reps collect feedback, share it with the University, and work with staff to create change. Students don’t need any previous experience because they’ll get full training by the SUBU Voice Team.

Why do we need Student Reps?

A student representation system is essential at every university. Student Reps are a vital link in making sure your feedback is heard and students get the most out of their time at BU.

What are the benefits?

  • Stand out with a Rep Hoodie
  • Boost your CV with a certificate and reference from SUBU
  • Enjoy free coffee mornings and socials – from quiz nights to day trips.
  • A end of year beach Celebration
  • Build skills in confidence, leadership & communication

How to get involved

Reps must be elected by their course mates to become a Rep - but worry not, it’s not as scary as it sounds.  During the start of term, a Faculty staff member will ask who would like to be the Rep for the course, students can put themselves forward, and the class will vote. It really is that easy!
