The third jump course of the year that will allow you to skydive compeltely solo and the first step towards getting your A license. Leaving Saturday 13th May and returning Sunday evening.
Course cost will be £205 which includes accomodation and you will need to purchase the BU Free Fall club membership seperately via the SUBU website at: http://www.subu.org.uk/groups/free-fall-club. We'll be meeting bright and early at 6.30am outside the main reception at Talbot House carpark where we've arrange for a minibus to take us up to the drop zone around an hour and a half away in Salisbury - Netheravon.
We'll arrive at the drop zone at around 8.30am and you'll meet your instructor for the weekend. You'll go through 6 hours of ground training giving you all the information and skills needed to skydive and land completely solo. The course you will be doing is called a "static line" course which is where your parachute will be pulled out by the static line as you exit the aircraft and you will guided by an instructor on the radio just in case you're heading in the wrong direction when steering the parachute. When you land, you'll meet your instructor again and go through some information on how you did and how you can improve your technique and you'll continue to work through the "Category System" developing your skills as you do more and more jumps.
We'll get in as many as we can that day at an extra cost of £35 a jump and when it gets dark we'll go and get some food and head to the onsite bar and chill out. We're up again the next morning bright and early and we'll do it all again - more training and more jumps continuing to go from higher altitudes and doing more difficult techniques in the air, working up to longer free fall times.
When it gets dark and everyones knackered we'll head back to bournemouth - times may vary but probably back around 6-8pm depending on the weather.
Make sure to bring your card to purchase more jumps on site as well as cash to buy food and drinks. They've got burgers, chips and all sorts but we'll probably head out to get some proper food on Saturday night
