Hi and Welcome to the Homepage for Bournemouth RAG
If you don't know who we are or what we do then this is a great place to start.
RAG stands for Raising and Giving and we are the fundraising arm of The Students Union at Bournemouth University.
Our Vision is to get students involved and enable them to fundraise in a safe, supportive and open environment, where anyone at any time can walk away with more than a degree! |

Fundraising is done in 2 ways here at Bournemouth.
The first is to organise a street collection (otherwise known as a Raid). A Charity asks us to collect, then at the end of the raid the money raised is counted, a cheque is written out and then sent off to them.
The second is by way of general donations. When you donate money in Dylan's Bar, The Student Shop or through our events we do, you are donating to our Core Charities. The money raised is held in the RAG account until the end of the year and then divided between the 4 charities.

Get Involved!
Remember, we are here to make sure YOU have fun! Anyone can get involved! You don't need any experience, but all we ask is that you come along with a nice big smile and an open mind. You will receive all the help, support, training, and guidance you need.
There are a variety of things you can get involved in, from helping with a street collection, to helping plan an event, or even helping plan an advertising campaign.
If you want to get involved, just pop into The Students Union (above Dylan's Bar) and come and see us, or visit http://www.the-hub.org.uk and register as a volunteer. Once signed up, you can sign up to RAG. It's never too late to get involved!
