Volunteer

This opportunity takes place between 12 Mar 2024 and 31 Jul 2024 Closing date for applications is 31 Jul.

You will volunteer alongside the Colour Works Foundation programme manager/course deliverer to ensure that our Building Self-Belief workshops run smoothly and effectively. You will support the larger group activities and have an opportunity to work in smaller groups with the young people. You will be an aid to the young people if they have any questions about the course/activities. This role is open to anyone over the age of 16.

Workshop opportunities are with schools, other charities or the local council and are often between 2 and 8 sessions.  A session can be 1hr up to 3hrs in length but you will be able to provide your availability and opportunities can be allocated depending on your schedule.

Through our programme of group workshops and one-to-one coaching, using models and methods that have proven success with private and public sector employers, we cover:

  • Self-Awareness – who am I? What am I great at? What do I struggle with? What inspires me?
  • Self-Management – what frustrates me? Do I react or respond? How well do I present myself? How do I build resilience?
  • Understanding Others – who do I naturally get on with and who not? Why might that be? How might I learn to value the differences?
  • Relationship Skills – how do I come across to others? Who are the critical people in my life? How might I adapt my style to better meet their needs?
  • Decision-Making – do I have a purpose? What help do I need to make better decisions?
