Hi there!
We’re a society for animation fans and animators.
What We Do
As an adopted Society, we are currently in the planning stages of our regular events, we plan to:
Host study support and socialisation sessions for animation students to receive help with their work or focus on it in a working environment.
Host Dailies biweekly to allow students to receive feedback on their work and projects.
Host Movie Nights biweekly in the specialised screening room.
As well as many other one-off events!
We also organise the animation jam where teams compete for cash prizes.
In May, BU will host BFX – one of the largest VFX and Animation conferences in the UK. The Animation Society is involved in organising and running the event.
Membership
You get to attend all our events and gain access to the exclusive discord, where members exchange industry intel, tech-tips, and film suggestions.
Members also get the opportunity to go behind the scenes at BFX, working with the organisation and its guests. Guests last year included animators from Pixar and Fortiche, Oscar Winners, AAA Game Developers, and major advertisers.
