Hello! We are SUBU Running Club, founded in Oct 2024. Whether you have just started your running journey, or are well seasoned, we offer a variety of group running activities in Bournemouth and the greater area. We aim to offer 2x casual running sessions per week on Tuesday and Thursday, as well as a longer run on a Sunday. This club runs all communications through Instagram, so be added to the group please DM the account (@subu.runclub) once you have purchased your membership.

FAQs

Do I need to be a well seasoned runner to attend?

• No! Runner of any ability are welcome, however, do let one of our committee members know which level you are at, so that we can support you during sessions.

What equipment should I bring with me?

• We recommend that you bring a high vis/ reflective wear for our evening/ dark runs, try to avoid wearing fully dark clothing for your own safety.
• Wear suitable footwear and clothing for running ie, no flipflops!
• A mobile device is also recommended to give/receive any communications.

Can I wear headphones during these sessions?

• Yes if you find it more comfortable, but please try and avoid any noise cancelling or over-ear headphones to ensure you are aware of your surroundings and are always able to hear pacers/others. 

I have just bought an annual membership, how do I access the instagram group chat?

• All of our club members can access the instagram group chat, by following the instagram handle (@subu.runclub) and direct messaging us there. If you have any issues with this, feel free to email us and we will try to fix this for you.

I am returning from a running injury, is this okay?

• If you are returning to running after an injury or an illness, do let one of us know prior to the start of our sessions, so that we can support you with this.
