The SUBU Awards, held by the Students' Union at Bournemouth University, will recognise and celebrate the outstanding work of those students who have gone above and beyond to help shape the Students’ Union.   

Students and staff across Bournemouth University (BU) are invited to nominate individuals and groups that have made a significant difference to life at BU this year.  

The SUBU Awards will be awarding students in fifteen categories, with two new categories added for this year:  

  • Student Volunteer of the Year 

  • Clubs & Societies Committee Member of the Year 

  • Best Newcomer Club or Society  

  • 5* Club or Society of the Year (new category) 

  • Club/Society of the Year  

  • Student Rep of the Year (One Per Faculty) 

  • Part-Time Officer of the Year   

  • Outstanding Contribution to Equality 

  • Outstanding Contribution to Nerve Media 

  • Best Nerve Outlet  

  • SUBU Student Staff Member of the Year 

  • Outstanding Contribution to Student Experience (new category) 

A shortlist for each award will be released on Friday 19th April, and winners will be announced during an awards ceremony at Key West, Bournemouth Pier on Thursday 9th May. Tickets for the awards ceremony will be released once the shortlist has been announced.
