Tune in to Nerve Radio on FM next week!

Bournemouth University’s Student Union radio station, Nerve Radio, will be broadcasting across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole from Monday 5th to Friday 9th February. 

Made for students, by students, Nerve Radio broadcasts shows live in The Student Centre, based on the university’s Talbot Campus each day, and via their online player from 9am to 9pm.  

Next week, they will be live on 87.9FM from 8am to 9pm, meaning anyone in the area can tune in at home, in their cars or from the office. 

From breakfast shows to a range of podcasts, Nerve Radio has week full of various shows planned. You can see the full schedule below. 

They will also broadcast from a live music gig, organised by the team at Nerve Radio, held at the Students’ Union campus bar, Dylan’s on Friday 9th February.  

Starting at 7pm, Bournemouth University students are invited to attend for the gig free, and will feature live performances from local bands Galaxy Thief and L&J Franks. More information about the event can be found here.  

The station last broadcast on FM back in June 2021, and the team at Nerve Radio are excited to make a comeback on the airwaves. 

Bronwyn Reeve, one of the station's Co-Managers, said: “We took the last year off FM and now we're back, better than?ever! We cannot wait to be back on FM and broadcast live to showcase our talent to the people of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.”  

Pip Hemingway, who is also a Station Co-Manager at Nerve Radio, added: “FM week will be jam-packed with our presenters' best shows, providing the BCP area with entertainment, news and great music.  

“We have a whole variety of shows planned by our presenters, including a mix of cultural music to represent our student body, the latest pop hits and throwbacks to the noughties. Make sure you tune in!”
