Why Join Us?

1) It's an amazing way to meet like-minded people and make new friends.

2) Whether you are a complete newbie, a casual listener, a stan or even just interested in K-Culture, everyone is welcome!

3) Our current members are fans of a huge variety of groups and soloists so you are bound to meet someone with a similar interest! 

4) Contrary to popular belief, we are not just a dance-focused society! We also host weekly socials for non-dancers. 

What do we do?

Bournemouth University & Arts University K-POP Society is an inclusive and friendly community for people who share an interest in Korean Pop Music (K-POP), performance, and culture. We are a student-run society, founded in 2017.

We meet every Monday on Bournemouth University's Talbot campus, partaking in a variety of activities. Regular sessions often include karaoke, games nights, concert screenings, movie nights, random play dances (RPDs), and much, much more.

We also offer weekly dance classes where you will have the chance to learn a variety of K-POP choreography from one of our fantastic dance teachers! These classes take place on Thursdays and are open to all abilities; whether you have professional dance experience or simply just want to have some fun, you are welcome regardless! 

For those who would like to be involved in a more professional dance environment, we also compete in K-POP University Nationals as well as friendly showcases! Make sure to keep an eye on our Instagram for information regarding auditions and announcements.  

Membership:

Our general membership fee is £8 (for the whole year), which allows entry to all society socials and novice dance classes. Please note that some optional sessions (field trips, excursions, etc.) may be subject to an additional fee. 

For those who have purchased a membership, please find us on Instagram: @bukpopsoc and message us with proof of purchase! We will then be able to add you to the KPOP Society groupchat for 25/26!
