I've spent the previous year getting to know everyone on the society, and my position as social sec has better equipped me to run for the position of president. I like to think of myself as an outgoing person who has worked hard to get to know my team, as well as being approachable for everyone on BUDS. I aim to make many more memories with my team and enhance the family aspect of BUDS . I hope to encourage the team to try new things with a do it for the plot mentality.
I have acquired the organisational abilities and dedication necessary to serve as president for BUDS. Alongside studying law, I work three swimming instructor jobs, as well as social sec and remained active in the community. My time-management has significantly improved, and since retiring from swimming, I'd love to dedicate myself to BUDS presidency.
Priorities for the society:
- Everyone’s voices to be heard, and I will implement your ideas
- Everyone has a fun year and make the best memories
- Create an escapism from uni stress
Ideas:
- Monthly events enhancing family across teams (movie/ dinner/ activities)
- More performance opportunities, particularly social team
- Kit for sport practicality
