This year's SUBU Freshers Fair is taking place across Talbot Campus on Saturday 28th September 2024, 10 am to 3 pm, and will bring the arrivals week to a climax for 5,000 new and 12,000 returning students.

What is Freshers Fair?

The SUBU Freshers Fair is a HUGE exhibition that is free to attend for ALL BU students. This is your chance to talk to 100's of SUBU Clubs and Societies, groups and find out about numerous volunteering and fundraising opportunities that are available to you to take part in alongside your studies. This is a great way to get more out of your time at BU!

There will also be a wide range of over 90 local and national businesses, fused together with live entertainment, sports demos, music, food and drink! There are absolutely loads of freebies and discounts that you can collect, so make sure you don't miss out!

Making our events accessible is really important as a Students' Union. We recognise that Freshers Fair is one of the biggest events in the student calendar and will be busy and potentially overwhelming to some.

We have organised a dedicated accessibility hour from 10-11am where the site will be quieter and music will be played at a low level.

The event will be taking place on all floors of the Student Centre, the ground floor of the Fusion Building, the outside courtyard space of campus and the first floor of Kimmeridge House, you can find out more about the accessibility of these buildings via AccessAble

You will be able to find Student Wellbeing and the Faith and Reflection teams in the Fusion Building and they are happy to talk to and help any students who need to take time away from the event to decompress.
