Community Events:

Jailbreak Hitchhikes (LEGGIT and LOST)

Our legendary hitchhikes are all about having a short adventure for a minimal amount of money, and a chance for you to load up your anacdotal library for future generations.

The premise is simple: To either get as far away as you can (LEGGIT) or back to the university as fast as you can (LOST) within the time provided, without spending any money on transport. On top of that as a team you get to raise money for a good cause!

Legend has it that some team took LEGGIT to the Sahara desert in just 36 hours! LEGGIT and LOST are full or urban myths and tall tales about some of students greatest adventures! All of whom have documented edvidence to look back on one day with pride (or shame). Why not give yourself the adventure of a lifetime in one weekend.

HOW FAR AND FAST CAN YOU GO!?

Trekking in Uganda - East African Playgrounds

Take your journey by foot and hand-crafted dug-out canoe across the amazing landscapes of the Ugandan highlands tackling mountains, extinct volcanoes, forests and lakes with breath-taking views along the way, including the famous River Nile. Trek through Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and come face to face with the last remaining wild silverback mountain gorillas in the world. Then, see where your fundraising is going by living and volunteering in a school for a week, transforming an empty playing field into a vibrant, exciting and creative playground for all to enjoy.

Play is one of the most important building blocks for a child's growth. Without the freedom to play children struggle to make friends, to learn, to reach their physically capabilities, to enjoy life and so much more. By building safe, fun and high quality playgrounds across Uganda, EAP is able to promote and reinforces the importance of every children having their childhood. All our playgrounds are tailor-made to the community, they are built using local materials by our highly professional local build team. Just one playground will impact hundreds of children over it's 10 year life-span. Do you want to be part of making this impact?

Hiking the Great Wall of China - Childrens Society

Pass through landscapes little-changed in centuries. Discover not only the seldom-visited rural landscapes along the Great Wall, but also the bustling city life of Northern China.

Join The Children's Society on this epic mission:

Right now in Britain there are children and young people who feel scared, unloved and unable to cope. The Children’s Society works with these young people, step by step, for as long as it takes.

We listen. We support. We act.

There are no simple answers so we work with others to tackle complex problems. Only together can we make a difference to the lives of children now and in the future.

Because no child should feel alone.
