Candidate for the position of Surf Club - Communications Officer

"Surfing is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get"- Tank "The Shredder" Evans, Surfs up. But on a more serious note, the surf society is really important to me and it's a real second family. I want to use the communications role to elevate the promotional content and attract more members. My University degree in Media and Communications, 1 year placement in digital marketing and prior social media management skills would allow me to add value and make a real impact.

My goals within the position would be to 

1. Keep members continuously informed on future events and post weekly high quality content from socials

 

2. Promote the club through a range of social media platforms and create accounts on Tiktoc and Youtube

 

3. Create a sense of community through the platforms and create a welcoming environment 

 

4. Have monthly/weekly themes across the social media content on the pages that are reflective of the socials

 

5. Continue to improve the content and engagement and be open to hearing other members ideas of what they want to see being posted
