Candidate for the position of Surf Club - Communications/Secretary

"Surfing is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get"- Tank "The Shredder" Evans, Surfs up. But on a more serious note, the surf society is really important to me and it's a real second family. I want to use the communications role to elevate the promotional content and attract more members. My University degree in Media and Communications, 1 year placement in digital marketing and prior social media management skills would allow me to add value and make a real impact.

 

My goals within the position would be to 

  •  Keep members continuously informed on future events and post weekly high quality content from socials. 

 

  • Promote the club through a range of social media platforms and create accounts on Tiktoc and Youtube 

 

  • Create a sense of community through the platforms and create a welcoming environment 

 

  • Have monthly/weekly themes across the social media content on the pages that are reflective of the socials

 

  • Continue to improve the content and engagement and be open to hearing other members ideas of what they want to see being posted
