Self-education for ancestral preservation.
Hi, everyone! I am Diamond, an undergraduate animation student at AUB. I'm from the Caribbean, Dominica (not the republic). I believe that our media representation has been slandered for too long. I want to be a part of the movement that highlights the beauty of being black.
As your social media officer, I would like to:
- Promote local black businesses through social media
- Provide educational & cultural resources through Instagram and TikTok e.g. hair care, skincare, healthcare, history, art, music, fashion
- Revamp the stigma around us as a black community, showing more alternative aspects while embracing our culture and values.
