Hello, my name is Akporoghene Charity Omoduemuke. I’m a level 5 business and management student. I am running for the post of the VICE PRESIDENT STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES.
I decided to run for this post because:
1. I believe that students need to develop skills and enhance their experiences outside their course of study.
2. I believe this is valuable to them and further enhance their employability when applying for jobs both in their placement year and after graduating from university.
My experiences as an administrative clerk in a contracting Firm years back, coupled with my study in the BUSINESS MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT at Bournemouth University, have made me to understand the need for students to develop skills such as communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, social intelligence, and other valuable skills needed to be effective in the workplace, especially in the 21st century can never be overemphasised.
To achieve this goal, I will be organising free employability workshops at Bournemouth University BU. As a student at BU, I have discovered most students are not aware of these opportunities. Hence, I will make sure that these events are displayed on Brightspace and the BU website and all available social media handles. I believe I can make all these positive change happen, if you Vote me as the next VICE PRESIDENT STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES
I ENCOURAGE You to go out and vote. Your vote is your VOICE, your Vote is important for the Excellent future of SUBU and Bournemouth University.
My name is Charity. Give me the opportunity to serve. Thanks for your support.
