I'm Josef Semugooma, as the BSO I have several initiatives planned.

These include:

  • Speaker Series and Networking Events: Host events with successful Black professionals from various industries to inspire students and provide networking opportunities leading to internships and job placements.

  • Voicing Your Needs: Actively advocate for Black students' concerns within university governance to ensure their voices influence university decision-making processes.

  • Establishing support networks: Create a medium for Black students to discuss campus issues, fostering a foundation for communicative support.

  • Enhancing Campus Culture: Implement initiatives supporting Black students to enrich the entire university community, fostering a more inclusive and equitable environment.
