From receiving most dedicated dancer awards to being social sec to now ending my year as wellbeing officer, buds has taught me so much & I am so grateful. I would love to be considered for pres to give back to my team. This years role has given me an understanding of struggles at uni, & there are ways as a society we can help people thru these challenges. Comp season is stressful but if we start optional fun classes, to help people relieve stress & still love dance this could impact positively.
During my time at uni, I have created amazing relationships with other societies as well as in Bournemouth itself. I’d love to participate in other societies charity events, such as the netball tournaments and fight night.
I’d love to make buds more accessible, by reconsidering the membership fee, we could reduce the financial strain at uni allowing more people to join. Holding more open classes could help raise money for the society.
Additionally, implementing new committee roles like a technique coach, would be a good opportunity for dancers to bring forward new skills to perfect and give more opportunity for individuals to grow.
