Student Pride 2022

Bournemouth Student Pride is back for 2022!

Join the LGBT+ and Trans and Non-Binary Campaign plus AUBSU for a day of celebration, education and community. We'll have stalls from LGBT+ businesses and charities, our Out of the Closet Swap Shop, a march and performances from student PLUS special guests!

This event is open to BU and AUB students.

Currently announced for Student Pride 2022...

Out of the Closet Clothing Swap - Our gender-affirming clothing swap is back with secondhand donated clothes and accessories plus unused make up. You can donate items before the event on the ground floor of the Student Centre or bring them along on the day.

Pride Badge Making - Show your Pride on your sleeve... well badge, with our pride badge making station. Get creative and make your own pronoun or pride flag badge!

Pronoun Badge Design Competition - SUBU is looking to redesign their pronoun badges and we want your help! If you have the winning design, you'll win our Pride bundle and your badge will be given out at Freshers and Refreshers fairs in the future.

What Does Pride Mean To You? Board - Share what Pride means to you and learn what it means to others with our Pride board.

LGBT+ Charities and Business Stalls - Meet some charities that support the LGBT+ community, check out some LGBT+-owned Businesses and chat with some BU/SUBU departments. Currently confirmed are:

  • Space Youth Project
  • Body Positive Dorset
  • Sophie Kathleen
  • Franka
  • Dorset Race Equality Council/LGBT+ Network Dorset
  • SUBU Advice
  • Faith and Reflection
