In this session, Sam Gisborne, Academy Manager, will talk about the workings of the academy. This will offer some insight into the management structures, methods and processes used in the academy.
- 17th January - Coaching in the Youth Development Phase - KG03
In this session, Dan Carroll (AFCB Lead Youth Development Phase & U16 Lead Coach), Warren Cummings (U13 Lead Coach), and James Lowy (AFCB U15 Lead Coach), will discuss their coaching philosophies within their respective age groups and the interactions within the academy.
- 24th January - Sport Science in an Academy - Marconi
In this session, Ben Bradley (Head of Sport Science & Medicine) and Jordan Tyrer (Academy Sport Scientist), will discuss the setup of sports science within the academy and how this fits into coaching and practice.
- 31st January - Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation in an Academy - Allsebrook
In this session, Tom Shineton (Senior Physiotherapist) and Matt Best (Academy Rehabilitation Coordinator), will discuss the setup and processes of Physiotherapy and rehabilitation practices throughout the academy structure.
- 7th February - Player Recruitment in the local area - FG06
In this session, Josh Hanratty (Academy Recruitment Officer), will discuss the processes involved in recruiting players in the local area, what they look for, and what it takes to be selected.
- 14th February - Coach Development - Stevenson
In this session, Bruce Suraci (Academy Head of Coaching & Development) will talk about the coaching structure in the Academy but with a focus on the need, and methods used to develop coaches, and coaching practices.
- 21st February - Girl's and Women's pathway at AFC Bournemouth - Allsebrook
In this session, Steve Cuss (Manager, Head of Community) accompanied by staff and a player, will talk about the organisation and its development over the years, with insight into the structure of the teams and progressions within the leagues.
- 28th February - Disability Pathway and Community Engagement - Stevenson
In this session, Steve Cuss (Manager, Head of Community) accompanied by staff and a player, will discuss how the disability pathway works, and how the group engage with the wider community through football related activities.
