7:45am – Meet at the Bournemouth University Bus Hub at front of Poole House and off Fern Barrow Road.

  • We begin our trip with a coach pick-up from the pick-up point in Bournemouth. Our Trip Leaders will ensure that everyone has arrived and is ready to depart. On booking your trip you will be emailed a detailed intinerary and phone numnber to join a trip Whats App group to keep in touch with your Unilife trip leader.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bath is famed for its Roman baths, stunning Georgian architecture, and rich cultural history. Set in the heart of Somerset, this beautiful city offers a unique glimpse into Britain’s past and is the perfect destination for a day of discovery and charm.

Itinerary

  • We begin our trip with a coach pick-up from the pick-up point in Bournemouth. Our Trip Leaders will ensure that everyone has arrived and is ready to depart.
  • On arrival we will meet our expert tour guide and set off on a group walking tour to explore the historic streets and iconic landmarks of this famous city.
  • You’ll have free-time in the afternoon to explore the rest of Bath.
  • We’ll then be returning back to the pick-up spot in Bournemouth after an unforgettable day.
  • Step into history at the Roman Baths, one of the best-preserved ancient bathing complexes in the world. Discover the ruins, sacred spring, and fascinating museum exhibitions.

Must Sees 

  • Visit Bath Abbey, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Take time to admire its stunning stained glass windows and consider climbing the tower for panoramic views of the city.

  • Wander through the Royal Crescent, a sweeping curve of 30 Georgian townhouses. This architectural icon offers a perfect photo spot and insight into 18th-century high society.

  • Explore the Circus, another Georgian marvel, known for its striking circular layout and historic significance. Look up to spot classical motifs and intricate stonework.

  • Stroll along Pulteney Bridge, one of the few bridges in the world lined with shops. Take in the views of the River Avon and nearby weir, a picturesque spot especially at sunset.
