Young Adult Ranger - Work Experience

Are you 16-25 years-old and looking for work experience in an environmental role, something to add to your CV, or a career change to a green job? The Parks Foundation are delivering free sessions for young adults, teaching green skills in parks across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole - no prior experience needed. With varied sessions available, develop a range of skills at our different events.

The Parks Foundation are delivering free sessions for young adults aged 16-25, teaching green skills in parks across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole - no prior experience needed to take part, just a willingess to learn and get involved. With varied sessions available, develop a range of skills at our different events.

  • We offer around 5 or 6 workshops every month that are usually 2-3 hours long, hosted by one of our skilled members of staff and covering a wide variety of conservation skills such as meadow management, woodwork, species surveying or pond management.
  • You can pick and choose which sessions you would like to do, you will just need to book on ahead of each event.
  • If you complete 6 or more of these sessions, we will provide you with a certificate that you can use in your CV and when applying for jobs.
  • The session can contribute to your work experience and we are happy to sign off the hours that you complete throughout the workshops.
