At the beating heart of our programme, we need Team Members. Our Beavers Team Members break the mould and create bold environments for their Beaver Colonies to grow, play and explore.
Gingerbread baker? Den-maker? Whatever your skills, we want you to join the adventure and help our eager six to eight year old Beavers gain skills for life. One session you might be exploring the great outdoors. And the next? Learning new things right on your doorstep.
We’re all about teamwork here at Scouts. In the Beavers team, you might be planning their first ever trip to the seaside. Or, maybe you’ll help mentor your fellow volunteers. Struggling with communication or organisation? Not a problem – the beauty of volunteering in a team means there’s likely someone who can help you out. And that’s what volunteering with us is all about!
By helping out, you’ll be creating lifelong memories for our Beavers. And when they’re ready, you’ll send them off to become courageous Cubs, eager to reach new heights on their journey with Scouts.
A typical weekday session might look something like:
- Running adventurous activities and gleeful games
- Helping and supporting young people
- Chatting and collaborating with fellow volunteers and parents and carers.
