Literacy Pirates Online Information Session

12 Feb 2026

Ahoy there!!! On Thursday 12th February, we will be holding an online information session specifically for students to find out more about us and ask questions about volunteering with us.

Are you a student looking to develop transferable skills and gain experience working with young people?

Well look no further! Join us online to find out more about the work The Literacy Pirates do, how you can get involved and meet some of the team! You can never have too many pirates aboard our ships, which means we are always looking out for incredible Volunteer Crewmates to support our Young Pirates in our Hackney and virtual ships. Don't miss the chance to be involved in exciting projects such as helping our Young Pirates become movie stars and published authors!

If you are interested in making a positive contribution to society by helping young people to develop their literacy, confidence and perseverance, then please come along. To volunteer you must be at least 16, have functional English skills and be enthusiastic! No prior experience necessary!

So hop aboard and join us on this adventure!
