Ambassador for the Dorset Women's Charter

06 Nov 2023 - 30 Jun 2024

Talk about, promote, and amplify the Dorset Women's Charter and its 10 Standards in your own network however big or small. Ambassadors will play an essential role in increasing community engagement and securing the support of people who say, “I’m In!”.
  • Encourage people in your network to sign the “I’m In!” e-form to increase the level of support for the Charter and give it credibility and authority.

  • Explain to people the aims, purpose and values, as well as the 10 Standards, of the Charter and how their support can create change for women and girls and all those who experience gender inequality or the impact of it.

  • Keep up to date with the facts and figures that create the evidence base for the Charter and, where possible and practicable, feed new data and information to board directors in order that the Charter remains relevant and contemporary.

  • Where, possible, attend (and help to organise where relevant), events and/or meetings specific to an area of interest or one of the 10 Standards.

  • Where relevant, share social media content (or other communications) posted by WAND or Dorset Women on your own social media platforms, newsletters, WhatsApp groups or other communications.

  • Relevant to your network, and where possible or appropriate, introduce leaders or other decision makers or people of influence to board directors in order to widen the network.

  • Relevant to your network, and where possible or appropriate, introduce business leaders or employers to the concept of Membership to the charter in order to launch the memberships concept.

  • Send a short monthly email of what you have been up to so that we can share your activity on our social media.
