The purpose of this role is to assist in the day to day running of a retail charity shop for Lewis-Manning Hospice Care located in Winton high street

Responsibilities

To provide a positive first impression upon arrival at a Lewis-Manning retail charity shop
Create a welcoming and helpful atmosphere.
Assist and serve customers in the shop and at the till point, providing customer service of the highest standard
Promote Gift Aid
Help with processing stock, including sorting, steaming, pricing, sizing, labelling, hanging of donated items and setting apart articles for recycling
Clean bric-a-brac items in preparation for sale
Replenishing stock on the shop floor as necessary
To be involved with the till operation and the handling of cash and cheque payments
Help to keep the shop clean and tidy (taking into account health & safety issues)

Training available

You will gain skills and experience in the e-commerce retail sector. This could be a great addition to your CV! You will receive full training and support to help you to improve your confidence and understanding for this role. Regular reviews will take place and an opportunity given for peer support through networking events with other Lewis-Manning Hospice Care volunteers.
