Bournemouth sign goalkeeper Orjan Nyland

After impressing Scott Parker in his short period training with the team, Orjan Nyland put pen to paper on a one-year contract after being a free agent.

The addition will be a warm welcome to Parker’s squad, as the manager made it known he expected the board to do something in the goalkeeper department.

The position was left bare following the departure of Asmir Begovic, with only youngsters Mark Travers and Will Dennis making up the goalkeeping team.

It was 22-year-old Travers who has filled the number one spot since Parker was introduced to the set-up ago 7 weeks ago and has since impressed between the posts. Considering the ability and good form shown from Travers, the new signing only appears to act as reinforcement in the position and offer more competition for places.
