AFC Bournemouth will travel to Craven Cottage on Sunday to take on Fulham in their final game of the festive week of fixtures.
Both teams are unbeaten in their last six games and will be looking to extend that run when they meet in the capital.
The Cherries now sit in sixth place after their 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace on Boxing Day.
Fulham are in eighth place, however they are only one point behind Bournemouth so will therefore leapfrog the Cherries if they manage to win on Sunday.
Bournemouth manager, Andoni Iraola, has ruled Adam Smith out for ‘some time’ after the full back came off against Manchester United last Sunday with a twitch in his glute.
Cherries’ top scorer, Justin Kluivert, will also miss the trip to Fulham after being given a one match suspension for accumulating five yellow cards.
Fulham have scored in six of their last seven matches, but have only kept three clean sheets all season.
Andoni Iraola said: “They’re very demanding because offensively they have very nice players and very attacking fullbacks.
“You have to be ready to suffer and defend well because they demand a lot from you defensively.
“It’s going to be difficult to defend but also we will have chances to attack them because they are quite offensive, it can be an open game in a good way.”
The injury of Adam Smith means that Max Aarons could be called up to replace him, just as he was against Crystal Palace.
Iraola said: “Max has played well, he hasn’t had a lot of minutes.
"I thought it was a good 60 minutes from him.”
Cherries midfielder, Ryan Christie said: “It will be a tough game, obviously it was an unbelievable result for them against Chelsea.
"It shows you the capabilities they've got.
"Every time I've played their it's been a tough game, I'm expecting nothing different on Sunday.”
Bournemouth are yet to beat Fulham at Craven Cottage in the Premier League, suffering a 3-1 loss last time out.
If the Cherries were able to pick up a win, it could see them return to fifth place, depending on other results around the league.
