AFC Bournemouth will look to book their place at Wembley when they face Manchester City on Sunday, in the last eight of the FA Cup.

The quarter final will be the third in the club’s history. A win would take them to their first ever semi-final in the competition.

A semi-final would also mean a trip to Wembley for the Cherries fans which is what all fans dream for at the start of the season.

Andoni Iraola’s side beat Wolves on penalties in the fifth round to book their place in the quarter-final, whilst Pep Guardiola’s side beat Championship Plymouth Argyle 3-1 in what was a difficult fixture at the Etihad Stadium.

Iraola has highlighted how big the occasion is for the club, he said: “I think we have a big opportunity.

“We know the challenge; the reward is very good.

“Everyone has to give everything. The players, the staff, the supporters because the reward is huge; a chance to play at Wembley.”

Although the Cherries are underdogs, they have already beaten Manchester City this season. That was also at the Vitality Stadium. Goals from Antoine Semenyo and Evanilson helping them to a 2-1 win.

Iraola believes it will be a different affair on Sunday, Iraola said: “There has been new signings and there are differences.

“We played very well that day and the only way to have a chance is if we’re at our best level.”

Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez are unavailable for selection due to being suspended.

However, the team will be bolstered by potential returns of Marcos Senesi and Julian Araujo.

The Cherries have won once in their last 16 meetings with Manchester City. They’ll be looking to beat them twice in one season on Sunday.
