Andoni Iraola’s side make the 340-mile trip up to Sunderland this weekend.
Both teams are coming off three winless games as Bournemouth drew 2-2 against West Ham with goals from Marcus Tavernier and Enes Ünal last weekend.
Regis Le Bris’ side are looking to bounce back from a late 1-0 defeat away to Fulham.
The Cherries are level on points with Sunderland but sit below them in eighth place on goal difference.
This will be Iraola’s first-time facing newly promoted Sunderland in his career, and The Cherries first time since 2017’s 1-0 win.
Antoine Semenyo missed last weekend’s game against West Ham through injury, but Iraola is hopeful for his return this weekend.
He said: “I hope so, he has been doing modified training with the team so if everything goes well today, I think he’s going to be available for the game.”
However, he provided some bad news on Ryan Christie.
He said: “Ryan got injured with the national team, he played with us against West Ham but after the game we did an MRI, and he has a sprain in the knee.
“He will be out for some time, yes, obviously that’s really frustrating.”
Justin Kluivert is another injury doubt for the match as he has been suffering with a small adductor injury, however Iraola seemed hopeful he will return very soon.
He said: “Justin is doing very well, I hope he can do something (in training) today, maybe with the group.
Bournemouth’s 2-2 draw with West Ham saw them record the clubs highest ever xG and Iraola was disappointed not to come away with three points.
He said: “It’s a hard one, I haven’t remembered in my time here a game where we’ve dominated the game more than that game.”
“We conceded cheap goals, especially the first one, it’s an assist from the keeper, in the Premier League you should not concede these types of goals.”
He added: “I feel like we lost a big chance the past weekend.”
Sunderland are yet to lose a game at home in the Premier League this season and look to be tough to break down in front of their home crowd.
Iraola said: “They are playing very smartly, very effectively.”
He added: “We cannot go there thinking that they are just a promoted team, they are showing they are very good, and we have to be ready for this.”
The game kicks off at 3pm today at The Stadium of Light.
