Chris Billam-Smith has secured a date for his first European title defence at the Sheffield Arena on Kid Galahad undercard
Chris Billam-Smith will be fighting in the undercard of Kid Galahad vs Kiko Martinez on 13th November at the Sheffield Arena in what could be a great card, with two world title fights, as Terri Harper also defends her title vs Alycia Baumgartner of the USA on the same night.
Billam-Smith’s opponent has yet to be named but he will be looking to put on a stellar performance on the Matchroom Boxing card in order to push his name into contention for a world title fight in the future – potentially at the Vitality stadium which would be a huge event not just for Billam-Smith but for the whole town of Bournemouth.
Last time out, ‘The Gentleman’ pulled off a gutsy, determined performance to beat Irishman Tommy McCarthy at Matchroom’s Fight Camp in July, in an enthralling contest that ended with a split decision win for Bourenmouth-born boxer.
November 13 has the potential to be a night to remember for current Cruiserweight Commonwealth and European title holder in what is a huge chapter in his quest for the cruiserweight world title.
